Frequently asked questions

What is Spynal 25 Tab used for?

Spynal 25 Tab contains Cinnarizine 25 mg and is used for vertigo of vestibular origin, for the vertigo, tinnitus and nystagmus of Meniere's disease, for vestibular neuronitis and labyrinthitis, and for the prophylaxis of motion sickness.

What is the difference between Spynal 25 Tab and Spynal D Tab?

Spynal 25 Tab is cinnarizine alone at 25 mg. Spynal D Tab is a combination in which cinnarizine is present at 20 mg together with Domperidone 15 mg, intended for vertigo attacks with prominent nausea and vomiting. The cinnarizine strength deliberately differs between the two, so they are not interchangeable tablet for tablet.

Does Spynal 25 Tab cause drowsiness?

Cinnarizine has antihistaminic activity and sedation is among its most commonly reported effects, so drowsiness is possible with Spynal 25 Tab. Care is advised with driving, machinery and alcohol. Elderly patients should also be watched for tremor, stiffness or low mood on prolonged use.
