Indications
- Acute musculoskeletal pain, backache, and arthralgia
- Primary dysmenorrhoea
- Fever with associated pain
- ENT pain — pharyngitis, otitis (adjunct)
Contraindications
- Known hepatic disease or elevated liver enzymes — Nimesulide is hepatotoxic at high doses
- Children under 12 years; pregnancy and breast-feeding
- Known hypersensitivity to Nimesulide or sulphonamides
Side effects
- Epigastric burning and nausea
- Headache and dizziness
- Elevated liver enzymes — monitor with prolonged use
