Frequently asked questions

What is ACIIDIP suspension used for?

ACIIDIP is used for the symptomatic relief of hyperacidity, heartburn and acid indigestion, and for the bloating and abdominal distension caused by trapped gas. The antacids neutralise stomach acid while simethicone helps trapped gas bubbles disperse. Use it as directed by your physician.

What is the difference between ACIIDIP Mint and ACIIDIP Saunf?

Only the flavour. Both variants contain the same actives in the same amounts per 10 ml – dried aluminium hydroxide 250 mg, magnesium hydroxide 250 mg and simethicone 50 mg. Mint and Saunf (fennel) simply give patients a choice of taste, which helps when a suspension is taken regularly.

Can ACIIDIP be taken along with other medicines?

Antacids raise stomach pH and can reduce the absorption of several drugs, including iron salts, thyroid hormone and some antibiotics. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take so the timing can be spaced appropriately, and follow the advice you are given.
