Indications
- Painful soft-tissue swelling after sprains, contusions and minor trauma
- Post-extraction and other dental inflammation with oedema
- Facial pain and congestion associated with sinusitis and other ENT inflammation
- Post-operative and episiotomy pain with local swelling
- Inflammatory joint and soft-tissue pain where oedema accompanies the pain
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to aceclofenac, paracetamol, serratiopeptidase or other NSAIDs
- Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Bleeding disorders, current anticoagulant therapy or the period immediately around surgery
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment and severe heart failure
- Aspirin- or NSAID-precipitated asthma or urticaria; third trimester of pregnancy
Side effects
- Nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal discomfort and loose stools
- Anorexia and altered taste reported with proteolytic enzymes
- Skin rash, pruritus and, rarely, bruising or a bleeding tendency
- Dizziness and headache
- Raised liver enzymes on prolonged use

What is Aceclomist-SP tablet used for?
Aceclomist-SP is prescribed for inflammatory pain that comes with soft-tissue swelling u2014 after a sprain or contusion, after dental extraction, in sinusitis, and at post-operative or episiotomy sites. It contains aceclofenac 100 mg, paracetamol 325 mg and serratiopeptidase 10 mg.
Why is serratiopeptidase added to Aceclomist-SP?
Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that breaks down fibrin and the proteins that make inflammatory exudate thick, which helps swelling drain and secretions loosen. The NSAID and paracetamol in the tablet address pain and fever; the enzyme addresses the oedema they do not clear on their own.
What is the difference between Aceclomist-SP and Aceclomist-SP Forte?
The aceclofenac 100 mg and paracetamol 325 mg content is identical. Aceclomist-SP carries serratiopeptidase 10 mg and Aceclomist-SP Forte carries 15 mg. The Forte presentation is chosen when swelling is more pronounced or slower to settle, without changing NSAID exposure.
