Indications
- Pain and stiffness of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis
- Fever with body ache in viral and other febrile illness
- Dental pain and post-extraction pain
- Dysmenorrhoea and other short-course inflammatory pain
- Low back pain, sprains and strains without significant spasm or swelling
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to aceclofenac, paracetamol or other NSAIDs
- Active or recurrent peptic ulcer and gastrointestinal bleeding
- Severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment or severe heart failure
- Aspirin- or NSAID-precipitated asthma, urticaria or angio-oedema
- Third trimester of pregnancy; established ischaemic heart disease or cerebrovascular disease
Side effects
- Dyspepsia, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhoea
- Dizziness and headache
- Skin rash and pruritus
- Elevated liver enzymes, particularly on prolonged use
- Fluid retention and raised blood pressure in susceptible patients

What is Aceclomist-P tablet used for?
Aceclomist-P is prescribed for inflammatory and musculoskeletal pain with or without fever u2014 osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, dental and post-extraction pain, and dysmenorrhoea. It contains aceclofenac IP 100 mg and paracetamol IP 325 mg and carries no enzyme or muscle-relaxant component.
Is Aceclomist-P the same as Aceclomist-SP?
No. Aceclomist-P is the two-drug tablet, aceclofenac plus paracetamol. Aceclomist-SP contains the same two drugs with serratiopeptidase 10 mg added to act on soft-tissue swelling. If the condition involves visible oedema, the SP presentation is the one usually chosen.
Can Aceclomist-P be taken for fever?
The paracetamol IP 325 mg in Aceclomist-P is an antipyretic, so the combination does cover fever alongside pain. Because it also contains an NSAID, it is a prescription product rather than a routine self-medication for fever u2014 use it only as directed by your physician.
