Indications
- Acute dental pain, dental abscess and post-extraction swelling
- Acute sprains, contusions and soft-tissue injury with oedema
- Acute sinusitis and other ENT inflammation with congestion
- Post-operative pain with local swelling
- Acute flares of soft-tissue rheumatism, tendinitis and bursitis
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to diclofenac, paracetamol, serratiopeptidase or other NSAIDs
- Active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding or inflammatory bowel disease
- Established ischaemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease or severe heart failure
- Bleeding disorders, anticoagulant therapy and the immediate peri-operative period
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment; third trimester of pregnancy
Side effects
- Epigastric pain, nausea, dyspepsia and diarrhoea
- Headache and dizziness
- Skin rash and pruritus
- Bruising or a bleeding tendency related to the enzyme component
- Raised liver enzymes and, uncommonly, fluid retention or raised blood pressure

Serimist-DPS uses diclofenac potassium 50 mg, the rapidly absorbed salt favoured for acute short-course pain, whereas aceclofenac-based tablets such as Aceclomist-SP Forte are more often used for ongoing arthritic and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
