- Dermatophyte infections of the skin — tinea corporis, tinea cruris and tinea pedis
- Onychomycosis of the fingernails and toenails caused by dermatophytes
- Oropharyngeal and vulvovaginal candidiasis
- Pityriasis versicolor and other superficial Malassezia infections
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to itraconazole or other azole antifungals
- Congestive heart failure or a history of ventricular dysfunction
- Pregnancy, and co-administration with CYP3A4-dependent medicines that carry a QT-prolongation risk

- Nausea, abdominal discomfort and altered taste
- Headache and dizziness
- Raised liver enzymes — your physician may monitor liver function during longer courses
