Indications
- Post-operative and post-traumatic oedema that is slow to resolve
- Deep soft-tissue injury, haematoma and marked contusion
- Painful breast engorgement and thrombophlebitis
- Dental, maxillofacial and ENT inflammation with pronounced swelling
- Inflammatory musculoskeletal pain where a lower enzyme strength has proved insufficient
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to aceclofenac, paracetamol, serratiopeptidase or other NSAIDs
- Bleeding disorders, anticoagulant therapy and the immediate peri-operative period
- Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment and severe heart failure
- Third trimester of pregnancy; aspirin- or NSAID-precipitated asthma or angio-oedema
Side effects
- Gastric irritation, nausea and diarrhoea
- Bruising or a bleeding tendency, which is the effect to watch at the higher enzyme strength
- Skin rash, pruritus and rare hypersensitivity reactions
- Anorexia and altered taste
- Dizziness, headache and raised liver enzymes on prolonged use

What does Forte mean in Aceclomist-SP Forte?
Forte refers to the serratiopeptidase content alone. Aceclomist-SP Forte contains 15 mg of the enzyme against 10 mg in the standard SP tablet, while aceclofenac 100 mg and paracetamol 325 mg remain the same. It is a stronger anti-oedema tablet, not a stronger painkiller.
When is Aceclomist-SP Forte prescribed instead of Aceclomist-SP?
Typically when swelling is the dominant or persistent finding u2014 post-operative and post-traumatic oedema, deep soft-tissue injury, breast engorgement, thrombophlebitis, or dental and ENT inflammation that has not settled on the 10 mg enzyme strength. The choice is driven by oedema, not by pain intensity.
Is Aceclomist-SP Forte safe to take with blood thinners?
Serratiopeptidase can add to bleeding risk, and the higher 15 mg strength makes this more relevant. Anyone on warfarin, antiplatelet drugs or other anticoagulants, or with a bleeding disorder or upcoming surgery, should tell their physician before Aceclomist-SP Forte is started.
