Frequently asked questions

What is Vitamist D3 Nano Shot used for?

Vitamist D3 Nano Shot supplies cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) IP 60000 IU per 5 ml. It is used to correct and prevent vitamin D deficiency, in nutritional rickets and osteomalacia, and alongside calcium in osteoporosis and bone health support, as directed by your physician.

Is Vitamist D3 Nano Shot 60000 IU available without a prescription?

60000 IU is a therapeutic strength rather than a daily nutritional dose, and repeated high-dose vitamin D without supervision can cause hypercalcaemia. Allomedix supplies Vitamist D3 Nano Shot as a physician-directed product, so use it only on a doctor's advice – ideally guided by a 25-hydroxyvitamin D blood test.

What is the difference between Vitamist D3 Nano Shot and a vitamin D3 sachet?

The active ingredient and strength are the same – cholecalciferol 60000 IU. The difference is presentation: a sachet is a granule powder that has to be mixed before taking, while Vitamist D3 Nano Shot is a ready-to-swallow 5 ml liquid in which the fat-soluble vitamin is dispersed as fine nanodroplets in an aqueous base.
